The CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) certification is an entry-level to mid-level certification for information technology professionals who are able to effectively design routed and switched network infrastructures that employ LAN, WAN, and dial access services. While there are no require prerequisites to earning CCDA it is strong suggested that professionals first have the knowledge and ability required to install, configure, and operate basic network infrastructures. Cisco recommends that aspiring CCDA professionals first hold the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
CCDA certified professionals can:
Identify a customer’s needs and requirements based on their current situation
Design an executable plan for developing a network infrastructure
Identify optimal routing protocols for a computer network base on analysis of a customers networking current and future needs and requirement
Recognize and recommend network management criteria for the network
Recognize and recommend security criteria for the network
Design an enterprise wide computer network in a hierarchical modular fashion
Analyze and then design implications of voice transport across the network
