CCDP
The CCDP certification from Cisco indicates you have advanced knowledge of network design. A CCDP certified professional can design switched and routed computer networks involving LAN, WAN, and dial access services, applying cutting-edge, modular design principles and ensuring that the entire solution properly addresses specified needs and is designed to be highly accessible.
After completing the CCDP certification professionals will be able to:
- Describe advanced IP addressing to include variable-length subnet mask (VLSM), classless interdomain routing (CIDR), route summarization, Network Address Translation (NAT) with route maps, and basic IP Version 6 (IPv6).
- Work with advanced IP routing principles including static and dynamic routing and the concepts of classless routing and network boundary summarization
- Configure Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2) for a scalable network
- Configure Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) for a scalable network
- Configure Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) for a multiarea network
- Configure System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS) for a scalable multiarea network
- Configure Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for external and internal connections to include path selection process
- Manage routing updates and packet flow using redistribution, distribution lists, route maps, administrative distance, and policy-based routing
