CCSP

The CCSP (Cisco Certified Security Professional) certification validates a professional’s ability to properly design and implement Cisco secure networks. CCSP certified professionals are usually responsible for designing and deploying complex Cisco secure networks. Earning either the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCIP (Cisco Certified Internetwork Specialist) is suggested as a prerequisite to the CCSP.

The Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) certification also validates a professional’s ability and knowledge key areas of network security including firewalls, identity, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems and security management. And because CCSP certified security professionals intimately understand major networking protocols, procedures, and how to integrate security devices with the underlying network, they are capable of building secure networks that protect can protect an organization’s information technology investments.
