OCP

The OCP (Oracle® Certified Professional) program was developed to provided credibility to information technology professionals who can demonstrate the depth of knowledge and hands-on skills required to deploy, operate and maintain Oracle®'s core technology products according to a high standard. Currently, Oracle® has offers OCP certifications for DBAs (database administrators), application developers, and database operators (DBOs).

Earning an OCP certification could mean career advancement in your current career, or it could be what gets you that next job over all the other non-certified candidates.

If you are an aspiring technology professional without much experience with Oracle® products and are looking launch your career in the field, we strong suggest getting an OCP certified. The truth of the matter is, most employers who need and oracle professional won't take a second look at your resume without an OCP certification to validate your qualifications.

Each OCP certification is made up of one to five exams. Each exam requires students to apply detailed knowledge that you have gained through Oracle® training, as well as skills they've developed through job experience.

While it is not required that students participate in a Oracle® training program before attempting to get certified is strong suggested that students have completed up-to-date training in the specific Oracle job role and have a substantial amount of on-the-job experience.
